Ohio Action Images sells photos online of sporting events they photograph from all over Ohio, so when designing their new website I focused on simplifying navigation and showcasing their work in a professional (but still cool) way.
On the tech side, a single HTML page serves as a cheap ‘database’ for storing information about different photo galleries (which are hosted on an external site), and PHP scripts are used to split and display that information on the relevant pages- the archives, recent galleries, and ticker on the homepage all get their data from a single source. This makes adding new galleries easy and takes the hassle of keeping the different lists in sync away from the photographers.
